Do you think what you are leading is called a healthy lifestyle? While deviating off the track every once in a while considering it normal conduct. Many of us feel we are doing well by trying to follow a diet plan and doing exercise whenever we can. Still, is that sufficient to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

A study conducted by the CDC depicts that only 49 percent of US Citizens are considered healthy. This health score ranking is done by the rental search engine Holidu from the data provided by CDC.

There is tons of advice on how to live a healthy life. But here we are going to mention a few key factors to achieve that goal.

1. Increased water intake

Water intake is the first and crucial key factor towards a healthy lifestyle. Water keeps us hydrated, helps in digestion, keeps our gums healthier and helps in weight loss. Around 44 percent of Americans drink excess water to reduce weight.

2. Getting enough sleep

If you don’t want excess fat stored in your body, you don’t want to look tired and depressed. If you wish your insulin resistance to be average, then make sure you get seven to eight hours of sleep in a day. According to a study, 99 percent of individuals consider sleep to be a significant factor in a healthy lifestyle.

3. Do Exercise

The benefits of doing exercise are countless. Increased brain functionality, reduced risk of cardiac diseases, weight loss, balanced blood pressure, reduced stress and anxiety are a few of them. A survey conducted shows that 97 percent of the Citizens believed exercise is crucial to living a healthy life.

4. Have a balanced diet

Our body needs certain essential nutrients to function accurately and to carry out daily chores. Having a balanced diet can fulfill our nutritional needs and help us perform the right way. Without a proper diet, our body is vulnerable to diseases and tiredness as it curbs our power of action. A study shows that in an attempt to eat healthily, people prefer to eat less at restaurants and maintain a balanced diet at home.

5. Avoid Negativity

We must learn to stop being negative by practicing the belief that positive thinking leads to a healthier and happy life. One must stay amiable and pleasant towards other positive people.

You may not necessarily consider the above points as the key to a healthy lifestyle. The point is that you take ownership of living a healthy life. It’s your health and only you can bring the change.
